Predicting future suicidal behaviour in young adults, with different machine learning techniques: A population-based longitudinal study.

•Machine learning did not result in superior performance over regular logistical regression when applied to population-based longitudinal data containing multiple psychological measurements.•Regular logistical regression showed similar performance, but is much easier to interpret.•The addition of more detailed data from other domains might result in superior performance of machine learning over regular logistical regression.
