Infrared and visible image fusion and denoising via ℓ2-ℓp norm minimization.

•A new variational model is proposed for simultaneous infrared and visible image fusion and denoising.•The non-convex norm and convex norm regularization terms are applied in the proposed method.•A computationally efficient numerical algorithm based on half-quadratic splitting is used to solve the complex optimization problem.•Both subjective and objective assessment results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed method.
