Inhibition of ferroptosis attenuates busulfan-induced oligospermia in mice.

•Busulfan causes oligospermia by decreasing sperm concentration and motility.•Busulfan caused ferroptosis and decreased testicular Nrf2 and GPX4 expression.•Inhibition of ferroptosis by Fer-1 or DFO attenuated busulfan-induced oligospermia.•Activation of Nrf2 by sulforaphane partially reversed busulfan-induced oligospermia.
