Subglacial bedforms and landscapes formed by ice sheet of the Ediacaran-Cambrian age in west Henan, North China

•The well-preserved micro-macro scale subglacial forms and erosional landscapes are widely presented on the surface of the residual Mesoproterozoic quartzite basement rocks in North China.•A continental ice sheet gradually advanced from highland in the north to shallow sea in the south during Luoquan glacial period in North China.•An icehouse environment of Proterozoic-Phanerozoic transition period in global greenhouse background is indicated.
