Clinical Implications of Sarcopenia in Patients Undergoing Pulmonary Endarterectomy for Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertention

Sarcopenia was associated with increased disease severity measures and longer hospital stay post-PEA. Further study is needed to evaluate the contributing factors for the longer hospital stay in sarcopenic patients, its long-term implications and whether sarcopenia is modifiable with pre- and post-PEA rehabilitation strategies.
