Ti-in-quartz thermobarometry and TiO2 solubility in rhyolitic melts: New experiments and parametrization

•New Ti-in-quartz thermobarometry has been experimentally calibrated.•Simultaneously, a new model of TiO2 solubility in rhyolitic melt has been calibrated.•Calibration conditions were relevant for high-silica magmas stored at crustal depths.•Our new Ti-in-quartz thermobarometry has been successfully applied to natural silicic eruptions.
