Glass-working evidence at Dibba, United Arab Emirates: An archaeometric study

•Glass ingots discovered in Dibba archaeological site were analyzed using XRF spectrometry.•Results revealed that the ingots are soda-lime glass based on plant ash soda-lime glass.•All the samples have similar elemental composition, with little variations in concentrations.•Our findings prove that the glassware and ingots found in the site have the same compositions.•The sheer volume of glass ingots discovered in the site indicates the existence of a glass workshop.
