摘要
The (Eu3+,Nd3+) co-doped lead fluorosilicate glasses (SKNPfLfEu/Nd: 45SiO2+20K2O +5Na2O+(19-x)PbF2+10LiF+1.0Eu2O3+xNd2O3, here, x = 3.0, 2.0, 1.0, 0.5, 0.1, 0.05 and 0.01 mol %), were made by melt quenching technique. These glasses have been described through XRD, physical, optical absorption and decay rates along with luminescence results. The emission spectra of the present glass have been premeditated under 394 and 808 nm excitation. The observed emission intensities of transitions in co-doped glasses are stronger than that of single doped glass, which authenticate the energy transfer (ET) mechanism. The lifetime for both the 5D0 state (Eu3+) and 4F3/2 state (Nd3+) of co-doped glasses are found to shorten with increase in concentration compared to single doped glass. The ET efficiency has been calculated for all the concentrations of Eu3+ and Nd3+ ions. The obtained results suggested that the (Eu3+, Nd3+) co-doped glasses might be preferable than those of single doped one for photonic device applications.
