The Rhaetian/Hettangian dipterid fern Clathropteris meniscioides Brongniart found in erratics in the eastern Netherlands and adjacent Germany

Specimens of the Rhaetian/Hettangian fern species Clathropteris meniscioides are found in five localities in The Netherlands and four localities in adjacent Germany. They are here described and considered to have been transported to the area by the Eridanos river system. Their provenance is considered to be the Hoor Sandstone Formation, Scania, southern Sweden. To our knowledge, this is the first record of Clathropteris from The Netherlands.
