Developmental and postharvest physiological phenotypes of engineered potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) grown in the Columbia Basin

•Innate® potatoes are tolerant of heat stress for retention of process quality.•High sucrose levels of cold-stored Innate® potatoes can be reconditioned.•Growth phenotypes of ‘Acclimate’ and ‘Hibernate’ were equal to parental cultivars.•‘Glaciate’ bulked at a slower rate and produced less yield than Russet Burbank.•Innate® cultivars demonstrated superior storage and process qualities.
