One-Sided Magnetic Field Halbach Pad for EV Wireless Charging

摘要
This paper introduces a novel single-sided magnetic pad structure for EV wireless charging based on Halbach Array. The proposed structure could enhance the magnetic field above the pad while reduce the magnetic field below the pad by using a rotating magnetic pattern. This feature is used to reduce the unwanted leakage magnetic field in roadway wireless charging applications. The effectiveness of the Halbach pad is verified by Ansys Maxwell. The proposed pad structure has doubled the magnetic flux density on one side and reduced it by 50 percent on the other side.
