Structural response reconstruction in physical coordinate from deficient measurements

•Propose a method for reconstructing the response with quasi-static and dynamic components.•With seriously deficient measurements, analyze the dynamic response in the physical coordinate, not in the modal coordinate.•Solve the measurement deficiency problem using the principal component analysis.•Develop an innovative use of the Gilligns De Moor filter to reduce the measurement noise.
