lA ternary metallic glass composite (MGC), without Fe, Co, Ni elements, is fabricated successfully.lThe MGC shows large maximum magnetic entropy change and refrigerant capacity, owing to the negligible antiferromagnetic interaction between Er and Cu.lThe entropy change normalized to the rare earth elements for the MGC is much higher than that of the other Er-based metallic glasses.
