Relation Between Wound Complication and Lymphocele After Kidney Transplantation: A Monocentric Study.

•Wound complications and lymphoceles frequently arise in transplanted patients.•We aim to evaluate the relation between impaired surgical healing and development of lymphoceles, analyzing some risk factors.•Our experience and the analysis of the literature show that lymphoceles are not a predisposing factor for wound dehiscence, and they often coexist because they share the same risk factors.•The most important risk factors are overweight, DGF, age, diabetes, and surgical technique.
