The Authors' Reply: Comment on: BRAF mutation analysis by ARMS-PCR refines thyroid nodule management.

We appreciate the comments by Verrienti Antonella et al. on the article "BRAF mutation analysis by ARMS-PCR refines thyroid nodule management". In this paper, we came to the conclusion that the combined analysis of cytological results and BRAFV600E mutation is highly recommended in BRAFV600E high-prevalence regions, including China and prophylactic central neck dissection should be performed in selected patients without regard to the BRAF mutation status. We reviewed our data to further clarify issues raised by Antonella and colleagues.
