摘要
•Income, a resource-related dimension of consumer innovation ability, is strongly related to levels of household sector innovation and diffusion.•As national development rises (better education, higher income) household sector innovation frequency will also increase.•Including innovations developed for motives in addition to personal need (learning, fun, helping, selling) multiplies the scale of household sector innovation by a factor of 1.4.
