TiO2 powder modified by plasma afterglow: a correlation between active species, microstructure, and optical properties

摘要
•The main ion is N2+ in N2 plasma afterglow and converts to NH4+ in N2 + 10%H2 case.•The energy distribution for both N2+ and NH4+ main ions is in 0–21 eV range.•A minor step for N-doping is to generate O vacancies, but not active N species.•N2-afterglow-modified TiO2 has a better visible-light catalytic performance.
