摘要

•Src-family protein tyrosine kinases (SFKs) have been implicated in neuronal development and synaptic plasticity.•SFKs are critical for the regulation of pain transmission by various transmembrane receptors.•SFKs have also been implicated as important regulators of microglial functions and the immune response.•Intrathecal administration of SFK inhibitors significantly attenuates the pain behaviour of chronic pain rats.
