摘要

•2D colloidal crystals of soft hydrogel spheres were used as template in colloidal lithography.•Microgel spheres were used as nanoreactors instead of mask.•Ordered pattern of iron oxide was obtained in a simple way.•The parameters of resulting pattern can be adjusted by adjusting the parameters of the template.
