摘要
In situ generation method for the formation of bimetallic copper and silver nanoparticles (AgNPs and CuNPs) on cellulose cotton fabrics was employed in the present work, utilizing Moringa oliefiera (MO) leaf broth as reductant. The bio synthesized bimetallic nanoparticles (BNPs) on nanocomposite cellulose cotton fabrics (NCCFs) were confirmed by different characterization techniques such as FTIR spectroscopy, XRD and SEM with EDX and tensile and antibacterial tests. The BNPs were in situ generated in large numbers with lower size as compared to individual monometallic AgNPs and CuNPs. The generated BNPs are globular in shape with an average size of 87 nm. Instantaneously generated BNPs on NCCFs exhibited good induced mechanical properties and high thermal stability at higher loads and temperature. The biodegradable NCCFs formed good zones of inhibition indicating the killing ability of S. aureus and K. pneumonia human pathogenic bacteria. These NCCFs can be considered for medical and packaging applications.
