摘要

A broadband multimode-interference-type LP ₀₁ -LP _11a mode converter is proposed for silica PLC platform. A wavefront matching method is used to optimize the waveguide geometry for broadband operation. Numerical simulations show that the conversion efficiency is larger than -1.8 dB from 1.3 to 1.7 μm.
