Electrocardiographic changes associated with epilepsy beyond heart rate and their utilization in future seizure detection and forecasting methods

•People with epilepsy (PWE) show peri-ictal ECG abnormalities outside of heart rate.•Cardiac conduction abnormalities such as in QTc and PR intervals are common in PWE.•Using ECG changes outside of heart rate may help develop seizure forecasting methods.
