摘要
•Species-specific PCR primers were designed for camel mitochondrial COI gene.•Lateral flow immunoassay (LFI) was used to visualize the PCR products.•LFI-based detection reduced the analytical time and improved the sensitivity.•PCR-LFI technique is highly applicable for thermal processed camel meat products.•Two out of 20 commercial camel meat products were found fraud by the novel PCR-LFI.
