Resilience Assessment of Self-healing Distribution Systems Under Extreme Weather Events
power and energy society general meeting(2019)
摘要
Extreme weather events, such as hurricanes, floods, and winter storms cause severe damage and failures to power systems, especially distribution systems. This paper proposes a resilience assessment model for self-healing distribution systems under extreme weather events. The aim of the model is to quantify the performance of the system starting from pre-event to post-event stage. A simulation-based fragility model is presented to capture the interaction between weather and physical power infrastructure. A mixed-integer linear optimization model is proposed to achieve self-healing operation with the objective to minimize load shedding. Furthermore, a resilience metric based on performance curve is applied to assess the system resilience. The effectiveness of the proposed model is tested on the modified IEEE 123-bus test feeder against different hurricane levels.
