摘要

•An ultrafine-grained soft magnetic FeCoNiCu0.2Si0.2 HEA was designed.•This novel HEA has ultra-high yield strength and excellent soft magnetic properties.•Both Cu and high cooling rate play vital roles in the formation of ultrafine grains.
