Detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology and Hf isotopes of the Liaohe Group, Jiao-Liao-Ji Belt: Implications for the Paleoproterozoic tectonic evolution

•Rocks of North and South Liaohe Groups show similar detrital zircon age patterns.•Rocks of North and South Liaohe Groups have similar Hf isotope compositions.•Liaoji Grantiods and adjacent Archean basement serve as source for the Liaohe Groups.•Back-arc basin deposition occurred for corresponding formations of the Liaohe Groups.
