Multi-label symbolic value partitioning through random walks

•We introduce the multi-label symbolic value partition problem.•We convert the new problem into a clustering problem for attribute values.•Thirteen Mulan datasets are used to compare with seven feature selection algorithms based on five measures.•Comparison study shows that the propose algorithm outperforms other algorithms in most datasets.
