•Thermophysical properties of CO2-loaded aqueous TPA solutions were studied.•The properties investigated were density, viscosity, refractive indices, and thermal conductivity.•The molecular interactions were analysed on the basis of experimental and derived properties.•TPAH-bicarbonate salt behaved as structure maker in solvent.
