Modified Appleby procedure for locally advanced distal pancreatic cancer which underwent neoadjuvant therapy

Summary: A 54-year-old woman was admitted by our department for distal pancreas carcinoma. The CT scan showed an mass in the body and tail of pancreas, and the result of image showed that the CA,CHA,PV,SMV and left adrenal were both involved.After a multidisciplinary discussion,the patient was diagnosed as Locally advanced distal pancreatic cancer(T4N1M0, CA involved). The patient received neoadjuvant therapy since November,2017.Therapy include FOLFIRINOX (3 cycle),SBRT (1 time),Gemcitabine (6 cycle).After the neoadjuvant therapy, a celiac axis resection with distal pancreatectomy (modified Appleby procedure) was performed successfully.This video shows the whole process.
