摘要
In this paper, a single layer frequency selective surface (FSS) covering dual band was designed and simulated. This design composed of a unit cell of T-type resonator inserted inside a rectangular split-ring resonator. A natural composite material, Basalt was used as the substrate. The two-layered Basalt provides a flexible texture with dielectric constant of ε r = 2.66, and loss tangent of tanδ = 0.006 respectively. This dual-band FSS was designed to operate at the frequencies of 8 GHz and 15.6 GHz. Significantly, it shows incident angle stability and hence provide screening effect at the satellite communication, including the X band and Ku band frequencies. The proposed metamaterial can be used in radomes, sensors, and reflectors. This FSS is fabricated using copper fabric, Shieldit and simulated using the finite integration technique-based electromagnetic simulator Computer Simulation Technology Microwave Studio Commercial software.
