Physical activity level objectively measured by accelerometery in children undergoing cancer treatment at home and in a hospital setting: A pilot study

•Many childhood cancer survivors suffer from negative deficits in physical performance.•Accelerometery is a feasible method to objectively monitor physical activity levels.•All participants had a severely reduced physical activity level.•Physical activity should be stimulated to minimize side effects during and after treatment.
