Late Neoarchean or late Paleoproterozoic high-pressure granulite facies metamorphism from the East Hebei terrane, North China Craton?

•HP granulites in this study show clockwise P-T paths with peak conditions of 880–900 °C/12–13 kbar.•Zircon dating yields two metamorphic ages of 2.47 Ga and 1.81 Ga.•The HP granulite facies metamorphism was interpreted to occur in the late Paleoproterozoic.
