Re-Shaping Body Image: Tape Sculptures As Arts-Based Social Justice

•Drama Therapy works well as an additional embodied way to process therapeutic art making.•Tape sculpture construction provides an avenue for participants to examine and reconstruct new positive body image narratives.•The installation of the sculptures within public spaces allowed for constructs of body image to be challenged on a collective level.•Constructing a cast of the body provided reflective distance which allowed participants to explore and dialog on an emotionally charged topic.
