摘要

•A real-time reporter cell line for Simultaneous detection of autophagy and apoptosis is described.•Cells expressing EGFP-LC3 and SMAC-RFP is an excellent tool for real-time tracking of cell death and autophagy.•The cell lines faithfully reported the LC3 punctae formation and mitochondrial permeabilization.•The reporter cell is having potential application in signaling studies and drug discovery.
