Geometric systems of unbiased representatives

•Systems of unbiased representatives are useful for product testing (like drug effectiveness) over large populations.•Geometric systems of unbiased representatives consider, in addition, the geographic location of subjects.•Determining minimal geometric systems of unbiased representatives is computationally hard even in simple cases.•However, with small differences, some nice bounds from the combinatorial context extend to the geometric one.
