摘要

•First study to evaluate the association of CD40 gene polymorphisms with the risk of ITP.•Two CD40 gene SNPs (rs1883832 C/T) and (rs4810485 G/T) have been investigated in this study.•CD40 (rs1883832) TT genotype and T allele carriers have a significantly high risk of ITP specifically in males.•CD40 (rs4810485 G/T) presents no significant association for ITP risk in all genetic models.•Trs1883832 – Grs4810485 haplotype is associated with increased ITP risk.
