Evaluating for disparities in place of death for head and neck cancer patients in the United States utilizing the CDC WONDER database.

•Head and neck cancer deaths at home/hospice increased in the US from 1999 to 2017.•Single, female, and older patients (75+) were less likely to die at home or hospice.•Racial disparities were noted in place of death for head and neck cancer patients.•Those with cancer of the larynx/hypopharynx were less likely to die at home/hospice.
