Urodynamic and gait analyses in multiple system atrophy.

•Bladder is one of major dysfunctions frequently seen in multiple system atrophy (MSA).•However, responsible site of lesion for the bladder dysfunction remains obscure.•The fact that neither detrusor overactivity nor the Watts factor (urodynamic storage and voiding parameter, respectively) was related with video-gait parameters in the present study suggests that bladder dysfunction occurs independently from motor disorder in MSA.•This implies that bladder dysfunction, particularly low Watts factor (suggesting bladder underactiviy), might reflect lesion in the sacral cord.
