A candidate androgen signalling signature predictive of response to abiraterone acetate in men with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.

•A previously identified pretreatment androgen signalling signature is predictive of response to abiraterone in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.•We report a trend for an association of ERG expression with benefit and nuclear androgen receptor splice variant with primary resistance to abiraterone.•Validation of the enhanced signature is currently under way.
