Mechanism of a long-term controlled drug release system based on simple blended electrospun fibers

Long-term controlled release system could be prepared through electrospinning. The releasing profile can be divided into three stages. The swelling process, swollen adherence and degradation behavior of fibers significantly influence the drug diffusion pathway.
