Abnormal dynamic functional network connectivity of the mirror neuron system network and the mentalizing network in patients with adolescent-onset, first-episode, drug-naïve schizophrenia

•AOS patients showed several state-specific connectivity decreases within the mirror neuron system (MNS) network.•The dFC between left middle temporal gyrus and left V5 negatively correlated with clinical assessments across AOS patients.•Social dysfunctions in AOS patients may be associated with the altered dFCs within the MNS and mentalizing networks.
