摘要
•A novel synthetic method for the formation of porous organic cage CC3 is demonstrated.•CC3 was synthesized via Modulating Solvent Evaporation.•MSER relies on the gradual evaporation of dichloromethane from a diluted concentration of CC3 precursors.•The slow solvent evaporation modulated by relative humidity allowed enough time for the formation of CC3.
