MoOx quantum dots with peroxidase-like activity on microfluidic paper-based analytical device for rapid colorimetric detection of H2O2 released from PC12 cells

•A facile strategy was demonstrated to synthesis high stability and strong peroxidase-like activity MoOx QDs.•The MoOx QDs displayed peroxidase-like activity with high sensitivity and good specificity in the colorimetric assay.•The MoOx QDs was used to quantitative detection of H2O2 released from PC12 cells on the μPADs.
