摘要
•Fat infiltration of paraspinal muscles (FIPM) has been quantified using T2w MRI.•Manual segmentation of T2w images is time consuming and has low reproducibility.•The accuracy of T2w images to quantify fat has not been validated.•We presented and validated an OsiriX plugin to segment FIPM on T2w.•We also validated the quantification of FIPM, using Dixon images as gold standard.
