Extinction Ratio Improvement of LiNbO3 Integrated Optical Interferometers by Photorefractive Tuning of Y-branches

摘要
The possibility to improve extinction ratio of an integrated optical Mach-Zehnder interferometer was investigated. A local LiNbO3 substrate modification by photorefractive effect was used for tuning the splitting ratio of Y-branches and balancing the power in the arms of interferometer.
