Electrically small dipole with coating dielectric for EMP measurements

摘要
An equivalent method of electrically small dipoles with coating dielectric to rotational symmetric dipoles of arbitrary shapes is proposed and verified in this paper. Based on the equivalent method, a kind of flexible dipole sensor composed by short dipole and replaceable dielectric coatings is obtained. By selecting appropriate dielectric coatings, the flexible dipole can replace dipole sensors of different shapes and sensitivities to realize EMP measurements requirements of different levels in various occasions. An empirical formula for estimating the capacitances of the dielectric-coated dipoles is given and verified.
