摘要
Herein, we showed the synthesis of Curcumin-loaded silk fibroin (SF) nanoparticles (NPs) (Curc-SFNs) with physical adsorption technique, which is more scalable than approaches that are earlier reported utilizing ionic liquids. The outcomes represented that the formed NPs were 152-170 nm in diameter with an approximate zeta potential of -34 mV. Further, the drug release studies showed Curcumin release was greater for the Curc-SFNs, and the burst release was noticed for the NPs in the initial 5 h, which reached a highest value of about 35% of the drug loaded, because of high drug concentration onto the surface, which made the release easier. In conclusion, Curc-SFNs constitute a very good delivery system with high prospectus to ischemic stroke by long-term and local sustained drug delivery.
