摘要
•The sulfur isotopic ratio (δ34S) of vermilion indicates possible sources of vermilion.•We have developed a method to analyze δ34S with high sensitivity.•We have also demonstrated a sampling method of vermilion using adhesive tape.•We applied above method to the analysis of artifacts from the Kyoden site in Japan.•The vermilion of the artifacts in the Kyoden site was probably originated in Hokkaido.
