摘要
•Thermal energy recovery within a Sequencing Batch Biofilter Reactor (SBBGR) was performed for three months.•No evident fouling of the submerged thermal exchanger was observed.•Energy recovery did not affect SBBGR performance.•About 3 and 4 log10 units of C. perfringens and E. coli were removed, respectively.•Effluent complied with standards for agricultural reuse in force in many countries.
