Influence of residential land cover on childhood allergic and respiratory symptoms and diseases: Evidence from 9 European cohorts.

•Green space is associated with greater odds of childhood wheezing, asthma, and allergic rhinitis.•Living near coniferous forests may increase the risk of wheezing, asthma, and allergic rhinitis.•Agricultural spaces may have a protective effect on childhood allergic and respiratory diseases.•No associations were found between grey space and allergic and respiratory health outcomes.
